Hidden Histories, Mythology, And Reading the Cards as a Story
Want to learn to read Tarot but memorizing the whole deck and all its variations feels a little intimidating? Or maybe you already know how to read the cards but want a deeper sense of their history, the story they tell, and how the cards speak to each other?
In this in-depth 8-week online course, we will look at where the Tarot came from and the worlds its creators were speaking from. We will explore the mythology and folklore hidden in the Major and Minor Arcana and come to a new understanding of how the cards fit together as a narrative. No more trying to memorize 78 cards (plus reversals!).
Each 90-minute class will include live practice Tarot readings with Julie so that we can get a feel for what a reading can actually look like. You’ll be invited to participate as querent and maybe even reader, but no pressure!
Classes will be recorded, and participants will have access to the recordings after the fact. Live participation is appreciated, but not required.

About Julie
Julie is a counseling therapist, Tarot reader, and writer living and working in Edmonton, Alberta, also known as Beaver Hill House in Treaty Six Territory. She is the author of several books on mythology, wellness, and storytelling, including The Full Moon Yearbook, Maiden, Warrior, Mother, Crone, and Secret Tales of the Tarot.
Julie has been reading Tarot since she was a young teen, and has studied process-focused Tarot with Jessica Dore and archetypal Tarot with Mariana Louis alongside her own study and practice.
